Make a Difference Safari

Don’t Miss the Opportunity

Do you make a difference?  Would you like to make a difference?  I wanted to write about this very special opportunity for this blog post, simply because I know there will be some who may not want to miss this opportunity to combine an African Safari with making a difference in the lives of children.

Pete O'Neal, Safari Kay TrotmanDestined To Travel supports The Leaders of Tomorrow Children’s Home in Tanzania, Africa.  For several years now, groups have been traveling with me and enjoying their visit to the home, spending time with the children, listening to the stories of Pete O’Neal, which actually turns out to be a historical journey of his life while sharing memories of those times, and not to be missed are the sounds, poetry, music of Charlotte O’Neal.  My guests tell me most often it is the highlight of the trip.

Working with Pete and Charlotte, Destined To Travel has created a trip that will take you here and allow you to live with the children, live as they live and experience their way of life.  It has the makings of an amazing trip.  Have a special talent, skill or profession?  We would love to have you share that with the children.  You never know what will impact the children in their life’s journey.  Maybe you’ll help the children with their chores, maybe you’ll mentor specific children, or attend school with them, help them learn English, teach a second language.  There’s just a variety of different options, yours to explore.

Unique to Destined to Travel

The Leaders of Tomorrow Children’s HomeWhatever you do, it will be one of the most amazing opportunities you will ever have. All participants must be minimum of 18 years of age, and willing to do anything that is assigned. This opportunity is unique to Destined To Travel. You won’t find another travel agency sponsoring this worthwhile organization. You will spend one night (overnight) upon arrival, in town. Then four nights at the Children’s Home in barrack-hostel-like bunk beds, with shared bath and shower. Your last two nights will be in a safari property to allow you to go to one or two areas before the end of the trip.  Time will also be allotted to shopping as desired.

Who is this trip for?

The trip will appeal to anyone who absolutely cannot afford a full 7-night safari, or to someone who absolutely doesn’t mind where they stay, and anyone who would enjoy the experience of living and sharing with the children.  It is not for those who are looking for a full safari experience. The rate for this trip is $3950 per person including air* (from LAX), and is based on a minimum of 20 travelers.  *Please note that should airfare increase significantly, it will impact the price. If less than 20 sign up. the price also may increase.
