2011 is upon us, how fast 2010 has spun by!

Let me take a few moments to wish you and your family a healthy, and prosperous New Year; one that is filled with new travel experiences, great enjoyment and the best of the best for you and your family. 

I will be heading for Australia/New Zealand and Fiji with nine other travelers on January 17th, so expect my trip report after February 5th and before March 5th.  I plan to be in town through March 5th and then I will be heading out for quite a long trip to Tanzania, Africa (23 days to include all corridors of the Serengeti and continuing on to Zanzibar).   While there, I will be scouting out some new properties for my next planned 2012 end of March Tanzania Safari, depending on my travel schedule and other considerations.  One itinerary will consist of &Beyond properties, Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge and most probably Serengeti Under Canvas (mobile tented camp).  Check them out at your convenience on the web.

I sincerely hope you will consider joining me on that trip.  I hope that my family and other travelers that now have Africa in their blood, will consider joining me as well. For all of the reasons I stated in my last newsletter regarding the Serengeti, this is the time for you to go; this is the time to experience the wonder, the EIGHTH wonder, of the Serengeti and all it has to offer.  Watch The Great Migrations on NatGeo channel if you haven't, read about the Serengeti, and you will definitely want to join DESTINED TO TRAVEL on safari in Tanzania. If the animals keep to their usual schedule, we should see much of the migration. as I did this past year and other times, during this time of the year. Start saving your pennies and holding on to those airline points.  As always, payments are accepted. 

Details are sketchy on the trip planning, at this point as I am still in communications with Africa and when I return from my March trip, I will be able to give you more detail.s  In the meantime, I hope you will put this on your bucket list for consideration for your 2012 travel planning.
